Fultronic Theory 07.06.04
I have a duty to society to write music, create songs and share them with the world. Will the world be better because of this? Of course not. My music will have no direct effect on the free world but it's still my duty. Fultronic won't change your life, it won't alter perceptions, it might not even make you think but it will occupy your time...and that's all I want. If anything, it's nice to have music that doesn't make you think. We need to be empty sometimes, to have nothing on our minds. It's important to be free from thought. We have too many thoughts of good food, Friday paydays, how to get there, how to act, when to look, when to talk. Fultronic music isn't created for you to think, it's created for you to hear. Whether or not you're paying attention is your business.
It takes me months to write one song, countless approaches to harmony in order to build melody and rhythm that has structure of reason. The goal is progress with cohesion and ultimately, a song I want that pleases me and forces me to listen again. I can only write songs to amuse myself because I'm the only one I really know. Although I want everyone to like Fultronic music, it's important to have critics. Without being told what's wrong it can be difficult to determine what's right.
I judge a man by his character and to me character is a reflection of creation. This doesn't mean you have to be creative, although it helps. This means bringing something to the table, let it be an answer, an idea, a melody, etc.
One goal of Fultronic is progress in creation. There will be days where three hours of work produces 7 seconds of music. Other days will have 7 hour practice sessions resulting in a standstill of creation, the progress comes in afterthought of questioning why and what occurred.
Fultronic represents art, life, progress, struggle, originality, influence, emotion, creation, fantasy, comedy, mockery, risk, mystery, passion, continuation, conservation and devotion. I have a duty to deliver what I feel to as many people as I can..Why? If not me, than who? I can't live my life waiting for that person to come. I'm not the best at what I do but I've never met anyone else that does what I do.
